*Rock group Sea Power announce novel cryptocurrency deal.
*Acclaimed musicians also prepare groundbreaking initiative on non-fungible tokens.
Following the announcement of Lionel Messi’s $20-million deal as global ambassador for cryptocurrency-linked fan token company Socios, the rock group Sea Power have declared their own crypto/media deal. Alt-rock’s acclaimed midfield generals have released news on an innovative cryptocurrency contract.
“We’re delighted to announce our own exclusive crypto deal,” says Sea Power co-frontman Jan. “We were approached by a German media company that, to be honest, we’d never head of – Die Grüneberger Gruppe / Funk und Weltweites Netz GmbH. But their offer was too good to ignore. In a revolutionary approach, they don’t give us money but, instead, have scheduled us a share allotment worth a potential $3 trillion in VoltKoins. In return we have an exclusive arrangement where we guarantee to never ever link the crypto realm with our music, image or any CGI doodles we’ve done at soundcheck. It’s a bold move because it means we’ve legally promised to never do any of this. Also, we aren’t allowed to produce any NFTs of any kind – which is a big step, but, to be honest, feels almost like a relief.”
Sea Power spokesperson Lenny San Serif said, “This is a fascinating and cool development on the musical-crypto nexus and one that will shock some people. If Bowie was alive, he’d almost certainly have something to say! Sea Power carefully thought about all ramifications before signing this deal. But, after seeing The Kings Of Leon, Grimes, Snoop Dogg and ex-Chelsea football total legend John Terry boldly ride the crypto jamwagon, Sea Power have decided to bravely exclude themselves from all this amazing stuff – for now and eternity. It’s early days but the band are very excited by this deal.”
